The 20th Turkey Bird Conference, hosted by the Doga and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, will take place in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Candidate Gediz Delta on 21-22-23 October 2022.

The first conferences were started by bird watchers in the late 90s and had been going on for more than twenty years by Doga in different parts of Turkey. You are invited to the conference where bird watchers, scientists, nature conservationists and nature lovers come together to share their knowledge and experiences on bird watching, research, conservation, and site defence.

We will come together for a series of topics in the first two days of the conference. There will be various talks under sessions on wetlands, bird studies and Important Bird Areas, migration routes and raptors. On the third day, we will witness the autumn bird migration in the Gediz Delta Important Bird Area and Key Biodiversity Areas as an excursion.

For Applications fill out the form by 30 September 2022.
